Speaking

I have presented, led workshops, and held keynotes from groups from 10 to 2000 people, with organizations across Canada. I have also presented my research at numerous academic conferences nationally and internationally.

For me, this was the first time I had ever witnessed a speaker who spoke to my experiences, and whose own mirrored the complexities of my own identity and experiences. IPPC’s founder, Dr. Jaris Swidrovich, caught my eye from across the room, with a knowing smile, as someone who understands how meaningful the session would have been for me. Dr. Delgado opened my heart, like opening the door for my safe and authentic self. Elder Shirley and I both thanked her sincerely with the pride you experience witnessing the success and excellence of someone whose story is inextricably a part of your own.
